What is the difference between bronze and brass? I know they both are an alloy of copper and tin. But what is the difference? Is there really any difference?

No.
Brass is an alloy of (mainly) copper and zinc.
But some other copper alloys are also called "bronze".

Bronze is used for low friction stuff. It is all about the ratio of the alloy constituents. Plus about 10,000 years in history.
