Title: Is recognition today's drug?
Post by: Eddie Mars on 05/08/2025 13:19:18
According to Dr. Eric Berne,

there is

a recognition hunger.

-

recognition (n.)
https://www.etymonline.com/search?q=recognition
...

/the 2nd paragraph
Sense of "acknowledgment of a service or kindness done" is from 1560s.
...

-

If there is hunger,

then

there is food.

 -

If there is food,

then

there is gluttony.

Today one needs not

to burn books.

No,

one just needs not publish them

or

one does not makes reviews of them

in one's magazines, newspapers, web pages, ...

/of course, "one" has a "big market share"

The 1st thing one wants to know in the morning

is

"How popular am I today" in social media.

/tens of thousands,
/hundreds of thousands,
/...

It is always the same:

we trust

the ones with the "honest"

eyes

and

faces.

There is a saying

"Don't go away bad

because

without you

it is

worse."

-

There are

Natural borne killers (1994).

-

There are

natural borne liars.

-

There are

natural borne ... (whatever).

=

People, "the normal ones",

do not want to decide

who is going to live

and

who is going to die.

They give that power to another people.

And then

that "normal people" have the nerve

to call the 1st ones "sociopaths".

So,

a businessman,

who has a health insurance company,

employs an "ai". (if one follows the news)

/it's legal
/one sleeps tight (there's no moral issues)
/Pilate washes his hands

=

Once,

bad politicians were to blame,

then,

bad computers were to blame,

now,

it is the bad "ai" to blame.
