Dear Seadogs, aye aye Captain !
This is not a happy ship !..can you tell why ?..at least it's a nice view from the top there !!

I have heard that big bubbles of gas can discharge from the sea floor and create so much disturbance that a ship caught in it could actually sink !
Is this true ?
How does sea-burps make for a sinking ship ?
Next time i'm in the bath (next february) I plan to empirically research this !!

LOL.. Don't drown and wear a life Jacket.. Maybe a gas mask also! LOL
-
Will there be a film crew?
-
It is true. There has been conjecture that this phenomenon may account for ships mysteriously disappearing.

I luff the smell of my own bottom burps...and so do you !!

I'll invite the BBC to see if they want to document it for their archives !...being of such important research I am sure they will want to capture the moment my arse sinks a ship !! [;D]

I wonder what causes them to be lens shaped with flat bottoms and domed surfaces!
-
Is there a way to simulate that in a child's water table with plastic boats? You Know for a science experiment?
-
It has actually happened - can't remember where but a drill ship drilling an exploratory oil/gas well and held in place with anchor chains did sink because the well "blew out." Gas at higher pressure was able to overcome the pressure of the drilling fluid to make its way to the surface. A tender ship sunk.

So Jim Bob..What do we need to feed our old friend Neily here in order to increase the gastric pressure enough to enable him to sink the ship??? LOL !
