Saw this on tv today! Our sneeze has a speed of up to 100mph! Is it true?
-
Thats about what I recall also!
-
Impossible for anyone in front of you to dodge...so be sure to cover your mouth and nose!
-
....also....the reason why ewe always shut your eyes when sneezing is because they would pop out if ewe kept them open !! [:o]
-
LOL Never hold your breath.. that can actually be harmful as I understand it! At least thats what I understand!

Ahh.. So it's a natural act of defence?
-
But I mean.. Is the 100mph thing true?
-
I think it is pretty accurate!

I have heard that when you sneeze, the reason for closing your eyes
is to do with the muscles around your sinuses and eyelids. I have tried
to sneeze with my eyes open. To no success of course.
-
so if i kept my eyes open, using force, would they pop out?
Feel sorry for the guy tha first figured that one out [:-\]

Lol, me too. Of course, I wonder if anyone has actually successfully been able to sneeze with their eyes open? I remember one very bored afternoon trying to do it as a kid..no luck whatsoever, and I was creative!
Why does looking upwards help you stop a sneeze from occuring?
