It has recently been found that neutrino has mass. the SM of PP will therefore stand compromised. What are its implications?

I thought that we have known that neutrinos have mass, because they change from one type to another (oscillation), which requires nonzero mass.

The Nobel Prize was awarded for it only very recently. It was predicted in the 1950s, and there was some evidence for it as early as the 1960s. I believe it was "proven" more than a decade ago.
