Title: How does cannabis affect neurotransmission and conscious experience?
Post by: tkadm30 on 15/12/2015 13:59:43
How can THC and anandamide induce dopaminergic neurotransmission of long term memory ?

Can THC activate consciousness through functional neurogenesis in the hippocampus
and processing/integration of conscious experience?

Cholinergic-monoaminergic neurotransmission affects cannabinoid-induced synaptogenesis: Implications for cognitive functions and long-term memory formation by endocannabinoids. Monoamine oxidase knock out may modulate cholinergic neurotransmission in the hippocampus through retrograde endocannabinoid signaling.

What is the role of serotonin/dopamine signaling in neuronal synchronicity?

Could THC-induced monoaminergic neurotransmission modulate microtubules/water dynamics?

I am not sure if it is related to question, I read somewhere about the brain of a cannabis user having more grey matter areas and having a higher connectivity.

I believe serotonin is a key neurotransmitter in the modulation of consciousness. By upregulating serotonin levels in the brain, cannabis may increase brain connectivity. [1]

I thought is was dopamine that was released that increased the adrenaline increasing the heart rate that then increases blood flow to the brain, the brain activity ''demanding'' a faster rate of connectivity?

You're welcome.  [;)]

I suggest you take a look at quantum brain dynamics of endocannabinoid-mediated retrograde signaling.

Vibrations in microtubules may increase synaptic exocytosis induced by endocannabinoid synthesis, a coherent quantum tunnelling effect.

On the possible quantum role of serotonin in consciousness.
PubMed: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26227538

"Hence, we postulate two possible new roles for serotonin: (1) as an antioxidant, in order to counter-balance the oxidative effect of FAs, and (2) to participate in quantum interactions with MTs, in the same way as anesthetics and psychoactive compounds have been recently shown to act."

Conscious experience is modulated by the subconscious system. Accessing the subconscious system is a key function of THC-induced monoaminergic neurotransmission. By exploiting the subconscious mind, the neural synchronicity of the brain emerge as a primary regulator of consciousness.

Through monoaminergic pathways, exogenous cannabinoids administration may act as a enhancer of sensory perceptions and may fine-tune the synchronicity of interneuron networks implicated in the causal agency of consciousness/free will.
