Are specific IgE responsible for asthma or all IgE are implicated?

Just as there are many triggers for asthma, so there are many versions of IgE molecules which latch onto these allergens to trigger an asthma attack or food allergy.

There are medications which bind to all varieties of free-floating IgE to produce a wide-spectrum suppression of asthma and food allergies, without actually having to target one specific variety of IgE (the offending variety of IgE may be different in different people).
