Title: Do vaneless Ion Wind Generators produce EMF?
Post by: SiliconTears on 13/07/2019 11:29:57
Hi Physics Gurus,

I have a hypothetical and probably quite bizarre question based on a conceptual/prototype technology.

I'm wanting to know if "Vaneless Ion Wind Generators (electrofluid energy generators)" generate an EMF?

If they do, then if I were to create a really long backyard fence version of one of these to say power an average home or at least generate a decent amount of electricity towards household use (ignoring all the practicalities etc), then what strength EMF (mg) are we talking?

My main interest is that I've found articles talking about their potential use in an "urban setting" where mechanical turbines aren't practical. However in terms of EMF, would an Ion Wind Generator fence be a safe thing in terms of human health to have in your backyard?

Sorry for the kooky question and thanking you in advance.

Kind Regards
ST

edit for terrible grammar
Also the question is very revealing that I am next to clueless in regards to Physics.
Thank you
