I work at a kennels and every day i have to hose down the dog runs, in the summer when the bees come out they crawl all over the patches of wee and i have to gently encourage them away with a fine mist of water so i don't kill any. They seem to be more attracted to male urine and its been something that I've been wondering about for a while. What draws them in and when they land can they actually use anything in the urine?
I was just wondering if during production paint is white and they add different colours once its finished, or if to get white paint you have to add the white, it could start a yucky brown or something for all i know?
Random question i know, but i was lying in bed last night and it just popped into my head. Some sick person has probably already tried it in the name of entertainment. Then i started wondering whether if you put them in a relatively confined space (they have enough room to get away from each other) with plenty of food but nothing to do, would they become friends? Seen as both species are very social and intelligent thought it's possible they could form a bond, what does everyone else think?
If everything is expanding since the big bang, with older stuff moving ahead of us and younger stuff behind us then is it possible to stargaze at certain times of the year and be looking into the past or future? Obviously I'm aware that you would need a really powerful telescope to see those kind of distances but i was just curious if whilst I'm doing a bit of stargazing e.g. during the summer and in England i could think to myself "Wow, that's the direction the big bang started" or am i completely barking up the wrong tree?
