To my knowledge the dentist was at gunpoint. As a member of the Nazi regime I guess he had no other choice but to tell the thruth.

Hitler's body was burned. But because they weren't sure if it really was him they found his dentist who verified his identity from the teeth.

In the school I'm working at there's one pupil who has some autistic traits. Despite his obvious disability the guy has a calendar memory. For example you can say any date to him and he can recall what day of the week was that. That's actually quite amazing! I've got plenty of other examples as well...

They could also exploit solar winds. I presume that would save a lot of fuel.

Another consideration is that genius can be hard to recognise at close range. Quite a few geniuses (genii?) were not widely recognised in their own time.

I watched a documentary about the clitoris; women's sexual physiology the other day. What an attracting subject for a documentary, don't you think? [:p]
The researchers stated vaginal orgasm can not occur without any clitoral stimulation. For practical reasons (giving birth) the vagina isn't that sensitive -- they were even suspicious of the existence of the G spot -- whereas the clitoris is there only for pleasure involving a lot more nerve ends than the penis.

Can you make a system which automatically checks every new profile's link list?
If the links contain words "gambling" or "poker" the profile is automatically cast into oblivion.

Interestingly mantises (or mantes) have ultrasonic hearing which helps them to dodge bats. Mantises' auditory organ is located in their chest.

Physiology & Medicine / Re: Antibiotics: How Long Before They Become Useless?
« on: 07/09/2005 16:51:40 »
What I'm trying to imply is that you should try to avoid misusing antibiotics. Take them if you need them!

Because doctors and their patients are so busy these days it might happen that doctors prescribe antibiotics "just in case" without further examination -- and most importantly because patients demand antibiotics from them without better knowledge.

Antibiotics are a waste against virus infections, so, yes, you just have to sit the cold out until it goes away! That's sensible.

I'm sure the guys in the lab are more than happy to invent new antibiotic drugs, but there's a risk that some day an unbeatable mutation emerges in consequence of excessive misuse of antibiotics.

Resistant micro-organisms are even able to convey their peculiarity to other nonresistant ones, not to mention that germs multiply with a speed about which even rabbit would be jealous of. Take antibiotics and you'll make one germ population very happy.

From another direction, if there weren't bacteria we wouldn't exist.

I agree! But if you're ever gonna willingly get one (or two) use a registered artist, so you know that he/she knows what hygiene means and that he/she takes care of it as well.

Armani and Versaci, definitely, plus mud. Why not? Even elephants mud bathe! [:)] Simply because it's fun and keeps your skin silky smooth.

Even today some people spend fortunes on mud masks. Google "mud mask" and you'll find lots and lots of advertisements saying that a mud mask with Dead Sea minerals cleanses, detoxifies, and repairs the skin.

Maybe the prehistoric men and women were wiser than we think they were. Perhaps they even invented network marketing and threw Ware (TM) parties. [:D] End of digression.

Back in the times of prehistoric man, most everyone was dead before reaching thirty. So it really was not a problem, huh?

Assuming the sun was a problem what do you think they used -- besides some kind of clothing -- in those days? Did they smooth mud onto their skin, perhaps?

Physiology & Medicine / Re: What are dreams ?
« on: 04/09/2005 10:07:47 »
Want to hear about my funniest dream. No! What the hell, I'll tell it anyway... This is a dream which had all the science-fiction clichés in it.

When the dream started I was inside a UFO, lying and supposedly being medically examined -- a red beam of light was scanning my body. At that point of the dream I was obviously quite scared, so the gray alien leaned over me and "said" that there is no need for me to worry about anything.
The next thing the aliens did was that they gave a me a tour around the universe. That was fun, but unfortunately I don't remember any details of what they were "saying".
Secondly they taught me English in front of a school desk that was at least 100 years old. That was also nice 'cause I like your language! :)
Thirdly the aliens took me into what I would call an incubation room, you know, lotsa transparent containers with humans inside. The alien who was with me started "talking" about a war they're involved in, showed me a brown planet from a paper map and "said" that this is the place. Then he "said" (you know, aliens don't speak, right?) they're making soldiers out of me (i.e. cloning me). The moment the alien mentioned about those soldiers I saw a mental image in my head, hundreds of clones, looking like me, marching in a desert.
Fourthly they introduced me to my half-alien family: two wives and two kids...
Fifthly they installed golden exo-skeleton legs on me ... which was also nice. (In real life I use walking sticks). So there I was walking around the ship.

THE END
