Maybe they dont teleport, but have invented a cloaking machine so that they are invisible to us, then they move position and turn the cloak off again?

General Science / Are we getting smarter?

HI I seen on a TV program a few weeks back, cant remember which one (might have been richard and judy) and tehre was a guy on tehre saying that we are getting smarter ie: Our AI level is getting higher, as if not only are we evolving physically but also mentally.
Also where do you think the human race will be in 500,000 saying we survived that long, would be ace to get some nice thoughts and predictions..

That CAN'T be true! / Car WHeels?

Hi im new to this and not sure if its in the right section, ive been a busy poster today.. but anyhoo here goes..
In the film AI the wheels on the cars,, i dont see it as too much of a problem, well at least i think it is possible to do and not too science fiction. I dont ahve a very scientific mind buy i am technical with computers and telecoms.
These wheels well balls aparently look as if they have the car sitting on top of them, now if under the cars wheel arches there is a magnet opposing the wheels magnetic force then that would mean really that the car is hovering in air.
Now would it be possible with a bit of computer wizardry and technical knowhow with science be able to direct the magnettic current to drive the wheels in which ever way you want?
Imagine parking,.. how easy would that be, just rollin easy..
there would be less moving parts, in fact no axels or gears...
To accelerate just add more power to the magnetic force and to stop, the computer would apply current in the opposite way.
I have a vivid imagination, so vivid in fact i can imagine things that i cant put to paper (or computer) but hopefully from the above you may get what im looking at?

Hi there, Im really happy I found this forum and its still alive and kicking!! Just awnted to share with you the strange happenings I have had which I now believe to be SP.
To start, when I was about 5 years old There used to be a "lady" who visited me while I was in bed, I remember like it was yesterday and not 18 years ago, anyway, cutting a long story short, she used to ask how my day was etc, and if i panicked, I would try to shoult i would feel my lips move but nothing was coming out and i was unable to move..Sleep paralysis at 4 / 5 years old? Possible unless my house was haunted..
Over the last 5 or 6 years ive had this feer of going to sleep for a few reasons,, reasons as bizzar as
*Just as im about to "sleep" (literally seconds probably from dozing off) I get the over whelming sence that I cant breath and i can feel its almost as if im being sucked into a hole in the ground.
*Ive never really been affraid or a believer of ghosts kinda person but since my so called "SP" happenings ive had this horrible sence of being watched, 1000000times more when im in bed, but it can happen if im sat in the same space for a while. Ill be in bed and then ill get scared for no reason and im still not sure if the reason i dont move is because i am too scared to or because i cant, or maybe tis even a mixture of the two. Its just a feeling that if i turn over then if i look back there will be some"thing" stood there, but I end up being so scared and fighting the panic that i have to get the energy and will to get up and put the light on, i can lye there for a good 15 minutes without moving for no reason, just petrified. << Is this also a kind of SP.. because its really scaring me :-(
There is also another thing maybe not connected that keeps happening only recently ive done a google search and cant find anything. Basically all it is, is when im half way to nod nod land ill get a major haullucination.. not one that you have your eyes open its one that i see with my eyes closed. If u can imagine having your eyes closed then a blue or yellow or red or ornage (i get differnt colors every time) its like a lightening strike that i can see in front of my eyes, well maybe nto as bright, more ilke a blue stream of electricity, or it is different colors, and when this happens I hear a loud click in my head, its not coming into my ears, its like listening to a mono song, it sound slike its right in the middle of my head and after that my ears ring like ive been shouted at or a trumpet has blown in my ear..
Can any one please help me find explainations to this, i want and need some answers because its all getting scary and im affraid to go to the doctors incase he thinks im nuts
