Physiology & Medicine / Re: Why do my joints making popping and cracking sounds?
« on: 27/02/2018 01:48:29 »
I am 63 years old and have a popping in my hip joint, where the femur attaches. X-ray shows this noise is made by an irregular bearing surface caused by osteo-arthritis. Probably not the same problem you're experiencing but it adds to the body of answers.

Physiology & Medicine / Re: Can you grow stem cells from the hair of someone?
« on: 04/10/2017 21:15:57 »
Not from the hair; it is mostly protein. But if there are skin cells hanging onto the bulb of the hair, as it would be if plucked from the head instead of cut from the scalp using scissors, then these could be used.
