General Science / Would an allergy to water be IgE mediated or osmotic pressure mediated?

For example, I recently read about a girl, who has an allergy to water. Even distilled water caused a reaction since she was allergic to water itself and not to chemical additives in water. if they take a sip of plain water, they go into anaphylactic shock. They are diagnosed with Aquagenic Urticaria otherwise known as an allergy to water. However they survive by drinking several glasses of milk, tea, and juice a day, which does not seem to affect them, and their blood plasma for instance is not causing a constant reaction inside them, it's only if they were to drink plain water or touch plain water a reaction would happen.
there are others with the condition who are left unable to drink water due to swelling of the tongue and throat, but the one above goes into the most detail. Would this be an IgE mediated reaction, like with peanut protein?
