Ouch!  Why can't you eat breakfast? No time?  No microwave? You need to eat something even if it is a peanutbutter sandwich!

Hi Rosalind!

Not my first time here, maybe closer to 20 times.  I know there are state of the art buildings, but my preference is buildings anywhere with interesting history.  I prefer older ones and bridges as well.  No, not London Bridges either.  I have traveled several places and the UK is usually the first place I go to visit friends then elsewhere.  This trip is only to the UK as Carolyn wanted to find out what it is like.  I just went with her.  We are traveling back tomorrow as life has to resume back to normal.  I have memories of different things and was looking for more closure on others.  I always explore no matter what part of the world I go to, but unfortunately my health was a bit challenged.

I hope you had a brilliant day of course!  Anything exciting go on with you?

moonfire, I like your board name it's fun.
I went to the shops today and had lunch out. I needed to spoil myself today. Well why not.

If the picture of the fish on the sign had legs then they count....pssst! I'd sneak back to the pub in the early hours with a felt tip and draw some legs onto the sign. Then you can claim victory.

Dear Diary,

As I take it from the little journal above there were some parts missing....tsk, tsk.  You just can't take anyone with you on a vacation anymore!

I was only amused by Carolyn's explicit remarks as we felt the swish of passing vehicles.  She suffers from vehicular tourettes syndrome as this was karma patting her backside.  I only wish I had a camcorder to record the truth.  George is a fanteriffic driver!
Carolyn did not have one sympathetic moment over my sides hurting.  It was her fault afterall that they hurt!  I did not drive to cause her to explicitly express herself. geez, what are good friends for? "A'int that right missy?"

Yes, it is nice to be close to friends.  I always enjoy the UK when I am here.  I plan to meet one of my colleagues from Xerox as she worked in Canada and I in the USA.  Have you ever visited St. Albans? It is lovely as well.  I love architecture and enjoy viewing older buildings.

Moofire that sounds great and I am glad that you are enjoying the UK so much with your OH. Swiss Cottage is a nice place I agree and I know it sort of.

We did this last night! 20pts, very amusing as I was told fish do not count...geez, if you are drunk you might notice that fish has legs? lol

Whilst driving we play 'Pub Legs.' You take it in turns as you pass pubs you count the number of legs in the name or on the sign. Example:
Player 1: We pass a pub called The Fox so player one scores 4 legs.
Player 2: We pass The Crown so no legs scored.
Player 3: We pass The Coach and Horses, the sign shows two horses and a driver so player 3 scores 10 legs.

I feel a tear roll down my face as when i was younger, I did the same thing.  Last year, Karma "got me" someone did it to me too and I thought about my younger years!hehe

I just wish she would be more amusing now....I am on the otherside of the cafe and she is engrossed with her screen.  Maybe I should send her a popup of a birdie, eh? What do you think?

1) Watching Carolyn enter into a stranger's vehicle, most amusing!
2) Watching Carolyn's expression as I tell her when we get close to customs that we will be stripped searched.
3) Watching Carolyn's expression as the airplane is about to take off and she hears a loud sound.
4) Watching Carolyn in the Dungeons of London Bridges being frightened as we were the last ones in the line.
5) Watching Carolyn dodge birds in London has had me very weak with laughter.
6) Watching Carolyn unfold tons of jewelry and makeup out of her luggage.

Share experiences that you have had while traveling with loved ones or friends.... [:o)]
I'm weak with laughter reading you two going back and forth on the General Chat thread!

Dear Diary,

It is a beautiful day in the Swiss Cottage today!  Time is right around the corner and I am trying to catch it at the "moment"

We had a lovely day in St. Albans yesterday and it was a treat, um, no pun intended here, as we were in the Hotel Chocolat...hehe Yes, we bought up loads of chocolate as I loved'ed'ed it! (Sorry chocolate overload) We spent this time with Georgie and he was a delight to visit.

One of my favourite parts of our trip yesterday was hearing Carolyn scream while we had a lovely drive in the country.  ;-)

Have to run now as time has now caught up with me!
