I have wondered similar things. Explaining gravitational attraction is not obvious in this model. Is it possible that the potential energy of the object/particle is lowered as an effect of the time dilation--something akin to the frequency decreasing, though I don't know which frame of reference is the best to use. From the particle's perspective there is no change in energy, but from the perspective of the massive object, as the particle approaches, the de Broglie wavelength of the particle would be red shifted, unless the momentum increased. I don't know if the effect would be of enough magnitude to explain the gravitational attraction, or if it is even a nonsensical approach, but that's where I got.
