Just Chat! / Anyone else have a doppelganger?

So I ride my bike a lot. Had a few people that said they waved at me and I did not wave back. Even one guy who rolled down his window at a stop and said Hey hows it going, and the guy did not respond. I asked where and when and said it wasn't me. One day I went into a subway and ordered a 6" turkey everything but jalapenos with pepper jack cheese on Italian herb and cheese bread, and the guy turned whie as a ghost. Were you just here 10 minutes ago he asks. I said no. He said a guy that looks just like you same voice  just ordered the same thing not more than 10 minutes ago. I said was not me, but feels really freaky, parallel universe or something. Do you have any stories?

My wife was diagnosed with necrosis from an injury to her thigh after falling through a rotten dock board many years ago. She was told there was no treatment at the time. Reading online there seem to be abrasion, and maggots that will only eat dead tissue. So I told her I would go for the maggots, painless and effective. It got me to thinking if one could breed maggots to only eat cancerous tissue, what a boon that would be.

I would think if you were worried about the floor the thickness of the concrete, and if it was reinforced with rebar or concrete  might be needed to take into consideration.

When I was growing up Catholic in the olden days we used to wear a scapular I believe it was called. It hung around your neck, had a very irritating surface against your skin. I think the rationale was to keep your mind open to the suffering of others and remind you to stay humble.

My guess is trauma, abuse of the joint, wear and tear. My hope for the future generation is to figure that out so they can avoild hip shoulder knee replacements etc. I can speak to having arthritis is not the instant issue, both of my hips show arthritis, One replaced last wed., the other no problem.

My father arrived at the golf course with 1 swollen leg, a retired Dr. said go to the emergencey room immediately. It turned out to be a blood clot in the groin area, caught in time and no ill effects.

Many animals, dogs, cats etc. fur/hair seems to get to a certain length and stop growing, but the same does not seem to happen to head and men's facial hair but does seem to happen to arm and leg hair. What's the deal with that?

I was into heavy tae kwan do and yoga, I can intentionally get down to 45, and lower blood pressure from 135 over 90 to 118 over 70, but one has to be i good shape to do this. If you are not willing to do exercise, proper diet,training and exercise I fear meds are your only choice, but a bad choice.

I have been out of the field too long, but in the olden days crack was a 100% cocaine based product. During my research times morphine was considered the most effective pain reliever. We did studies eliminating the effects of morphine withdrawal with a combination of drugs that would block the addictive centers of the brain and thus target the pain relief centers. We were able to eliminate 4 of the symptoms of morphine withdrawal in rats by including drugs such as naloxone. The goal of our research was to eliminate the addictive properties of morphine and take advantage of the pain relief properties. Sorry not familiar with fentanyl.

Wife and I no problem, In fact do not recall seeing the skin cut off on any cheese plates, but if I had I would have eaten it! Now the brown specs from pineapple skin and little tough ends on artichokes I have a problem with, go figure!

Back in the 70's it was assumed lobsters felt pain while getting boiled to death by my chef. My chef did not believe in boiling them alive. We would stick a knife through behind the head, swift death was the assumption, heard stories of scrambling screaming lobsters, but never had to witness it first hand thank god.

I have had a few computers at work with similar symptoms. Stopgap measure is to limit processor capacity to maybe 50%, eventually the processor dies in my experience, except for an old laptop, it may shut down once a month or so, but after 7 years the guy is happy with it. It has minimal use other than to read manuals that will not work in newer operating systems and pdf readers. The cd (cannot be copied) presents a menu in pdf format to link to pdf documents based on make, engine etc. And he needs the laptop to take it to the shop to link with a code reader to look up codes in the pdf manual.
This is assuming airways are clear, all fans are working, good paste for heat sync, and het sync securely connects, have seen a few with a broken clip or metal u on the circuit board that have lost integrity to keep heat sync attached.
