General Science / Re: In A Falling Lift/Elevator What is The Best Position To Assume ?
« on: 07/01/2012 07:26:50 »
Impossible. Nobody Has EVER Died In A Falling Elevator And All Elevators Now Have Multiple Cables That Can Each Hold The Weight Of The Elevator And Emergency Brakes If The Cables Should Fail. If Anything You Should Be More Concerned With The Safety Hazards Of Rising Elevators...http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/15/nyregion/elevator-accident-kills-a-woman-in-a-madison-avenue-building.html

The Environment / Do igloos melt?
« on: 22/03/2007 20:39:08 »
I Agree That At The Temperatures Required To Build The Igloo And With Proper Ventilation It Would Be Difficult To Melt An Igloo Through Daily Use. Quite Practical For The Old Days, Though They Wouldn't Be Impossible To Melt...

Don't Get The Wrong Idea With The Cocaine, My Brother Brought It Up, I'm Just Helping Figure It Out. Also...It Kinda Looks Like An Upside-Down Exclamation Mark When I Get Close To The Screen.

Look...You Can't Seriously Quote Anything From The Bible To Back Up A Point Of View. You Can Find Support From The Bible For Any Statement You're For If You Look Hard Enough. I'm Not Saying That The Bible Is Wrong...Just That It May Be Right, Too Right.

Chemistry / I Need Help With A Subscript...

I Am Simply A Sophomore In College And Have Never Learned Much Advanced Chemistry (i.e. If It Even Is Chemistry), And So Have Never Learned Anything Of The Subscript "¡". Here It Is Used On leda.lycaeum.org, "Yield of succinaldoxime powder is a little over 40 g, mp is 171-172¡." And "Seal vessel, introduce 50 psi of hydrogen atmosphere (after flushing vessel with hydrogen) and heat to 40-50¡." My Brother Saw It First And Asked Me And So Now I Am Asking Y'all, Asking "The Naked Scientists". I Found No Mention Of It Anywhere On The Internet. Does Anyone Know What The Subscript "¡" Stands For? Seems Like A Symbol For A Unit Of Temperature Perhaps, But I've Been Wrong Before.
