I have also dealt with something similar (on and off) for the last 20 years. After performing a difficult resistance training (weights) workout, usually a day or two later when the lactic acid is at its worse, I get a reaction to cold weather or water. I feel my face or any other exposed skin feeling hot and then i start to get swelling, on my face or hands. This only happens after a tough workout when i'm feeling the effects of stiffness usually a couple of days later. Usually it goes away after a few days but it is quite embarrassing to swell up for no reason to really speak of. If anyone has heard of this or any actually "cure" it would be appreciated. thanks for reading.
