« on: 30/09/2007 20:47:12 »
Dear Car Owners/Users/Manufactureres, (If I mention ROLLS ROYCE I wonder if the nice German peeps will gimmee one !! )

My car knows the temperature outside !...clever eh ?

so, where's the sensor ?...outside on the body somewhere ?...cos I can't find it ?..underneath ?....haven't looked there !!...surely not where the engine is !!!
...and yet...I am sure I read in the manual that it takes a few minutes to give an accurate reading !!!..why's that then ?

You know what ?..I don't know !!!

Smart Aleck.. Since you don't know I will try to not reply with a question! HEE HEE HEE! LOL

My car does not know the temperature outside, nor does it want to know! LOL If I am careful at frost time he is content to know that I have covered him well with a blankie to keep his windows warm and the chill off...LOL

Seriously I did not know cars needed to know the outside temperature, I know engine temps and such for the cooling system so things do not over heat!

Cars don't, but warning the driver when its below freezing isn't a bad idea.

I guess so when you live in a place where there is extreme cold!..

You would think the driver would know automatically when he went outside to get into the car! LOL

Sandra can have it !!...it's probably made from ten different cars anyway !!...so..i wouldn't want her to drive it....probably just to keep and throw things at !!

In the winter, my car's thermometor sometimes reads "ICE." Is there a separate sensor telling that the tires or slipping, or is it just letting me know that it's below freezing?

Unless you have ABS, it's just a thermometer near ground level.
