well exodus a scientist is the one who is doing research on any specific topic and is an specialist in a specific subject.

I wouldnt totally agree, i would class anyone with an interest in science and someone who is keen to learn more about a specific science subject as a scientist. Angel and Tom who frequent this forum are studying A-Levels, principally sciences and thus i would class them as scientists... just as someone who was at an art college of a similar age may be known as an artist... don't know what other people think... i don't think you have to be doing research to be called a scientist? A nice idea though Gazi.

How old are you? University etc? tell us a bit about yourself. You post a lot yet we know nothing about you.

We are all born scientists don't you think? Isn't a 6 year old who looks up to his father and asks why the sky is blue doing research on a specific subject? A young child watching an ant pull a dead insect to its nest collecting data in the form of scientific inquiry? I do not beleive that everyone is doing the same work as Madame Curie or Mr. Einstein but didn't they start somewhere simpler as well?
 Yes, I write like a true elementary teacher does, but the sentiment is this, everyday I teach science and the questions lead to thought and research in some form. What are the northern lights, how is lightening formed, how do tad poles change like that, what does a meal worm end up as.....we all start somewhere and I would never tell my students they were not scientists, I tell them they are and because of that they work harder, research more, and believe in themselves more and more everyday. Who knows, maybe the next Einstein or Curie will be in my room this year...or already has been.

well i am a medical student and i am in Gulf Medical University Dubai, and i am intrested in Physics and i want to be a scientist but i think its difficult for me being a scientist means doing research and postulate a theory or something like that so that there would me my contribution too in the development of this world i am 18.
