I have no wall clocks, they are just clutter...i hate clutter...and dusting
I have a wrist watch, i splashed out on myself a few years back, wore it a few times then popped it in the kitchen drawer...goes to look for it....the battery is dead.

Other than the pc, the only clock i have is on the phone.

I always look at the alternative. I am not sure why but I do. I look to my cable box and the wall clock as if I need to verify the accuracy I have 4 in this room with me! LOL LOL.. That doesn't sound good does it.. Oh NOOOOOOO i might have a clock fixation! Maybe cause I don't sleep well. Maybe I should throw away all my clocks.. I do not use an alarm because I am always awake.

I still haven't quite got accustomed to computer clocks being synchronised to time-standards by default these days. Pre WindowsXP and always-on internet, they were never reliable.

In true geek/scientist style, I wear a 15-year old Casio digital watch. Many years ago I opened up the watch and tweaked the fine-adjustment to get it from gaining about 20 seconds a month (as sold), to only gaining 1 second per month. The fact that it is now about 5 seconds ahead of the time-pips on (analog) radio (or a radio-controlled "MSF" clock) indicates that it's been some time since I set it  [;D]

I have one other clock in my computer room (pretty much every other room in the house has at least one clock in it).  The clock in the computer room is synchronised to Frankfurt, so it is totally accurate, just I have to remember to subtract an hour from the clock if I use that (but I also have the computer clock as well - which I probably use more often, except when I might have network problems, and I want to check whether the computer is syncing with an NTP server).

I have a watch, but I haven't worn a wrist watch since my teens - feel uncomfortable with any jewellery.  For the last decade or so, I have had a pocket watch, but even though I had a wrist watch before that, I never actually wore it on my wrist.

I voted 50/50, but that's not quite accurate.  It's more like 1/3 at my watch, 1/3 at the clock and 1/3 at the pc. [:)]

Ich haban eine Armbanduhr aus die Landstreitkräfte der Schweizerische Eidgenossenschaft. Es ist Edelstahl mit eine schwarz Anhieb.

I have always worn a watch so it is just habit to look at it. AND I didn't get a computer until I was over 50 - it was a 286, even though I had used an Apple II and a Mac previously. It didn't even have windows and I logged in to the server using UNIX to check my mail.

Thank god for German-English dictionaries!

Can't quite make it out - my German is rudimentary to say the least.

He has an 'arm band clock' - whatever one of those is (it may simply be the German phrase for a wrist watch).  It was made in Switzerland, and is very sweet ('Edelstahl' - 'edel' is sweet, but not sure about 'stahl'), with a Swiss 'Anhieb' - not sure what that is, but may be a flag or something.

I know, I could submit it to babelfish, or some such - but that will probably make even greater nonsense out of it than I would.

Here is what I got from babble:

I haban a wrist-watch from the ground forces the Swiss Confederation. It is high-grade steel with one black first attempt.

Yes, if I can read - 'schwarz', not 'Schweiz' - hence, black rather than Swiss.

I suppose 'edelstahl' could be 'sweet steel', or 'good quality steel'.

I think there is a slight confusion between 'land' meaning 'ground', and 'land' as in 'the land of' - and the intended meaning is clearly the latter.

I have a Swiss Army Watch (wristwatch). It is stainless steel with a black face. Perhaps the fact I used the word for a watch face and not the word for human face made it too difficult. But there is  a Swiss flag on it.
