I've read somewhere saying that the consumption of grape juice (glucose) after running (especially when one has a sore muscle) is not desirable, because the sugar spike created will trigger inflammation.
What does sore muscle has to do inflammation? Isn't it mainly due to a buildup of lactic acid? And Why does sugar spike in the body trigger inflammation? [

This is just a guess but perhaps it is because sugar slows don the metabolism of the lactic acid
