Some of us are in the BST Uk time and as yourself are in the USA
time so the time differences can be quite a lot.

Or we're busy elsewhere online or offline as you are science_guy.

I'm asking why they're hidden [:)]

This is the naked scientists site, they are obviously hidden because they are in the buff and are a bit embarrassed.

One should use "whom" when referring to the object of a sentence. You are referring to the subject, so you should have used "who".

OK, OK, OK, Kraner started this - he should be the object of derision, not the lucid, enlightened being who is showing the rest of you what education actually does for one - it helps you speak properly.

Miss Smoot, my high school English teacher, drilled the difference between "who" and "whom" into me and I use them properly. The unenlightened Americans who do not know the rules for the usage of the two words should feel inferior.

Thank you for setting them on the path to correct usage of the language, Dr. Beaver.

I heard a report once about a Texan wedding. The bridesmaids were jumping up in the air to catch the brides boquet and one of them fell to the ground with a gunshot wound in the hand. It was discovered that the stray bullet had come from an angry Texan who fired his gun into the air, a mile away, after having an argument with his wife.
There have been times that I would have liked to fire a gun in the air. Now I'm an honoury Texan, do I get a gun?

Do you prefer an automatic or revolver?  I prefer the revolver - it doesn't get jammed when the dust blows. You can get auto-loaders - sometime called quick loaders - for longer gunfights.
