Why Do Bunnies Freeze In Headlights ?

Bunnies, being herbivores, and therefore prey animals, don't have very good depth perception.  Their eyes are on the sides of their heads, so they can survey an almost complete hemisphere around them for threats, but they don't see in stereo and can't triangulate distance.  At the same time, a bright light will cause the pupil of the eye that sees it to contract, with the result that Bugs can't see any background to put the light in context.  It's probably only when it starts to hear the car that it registers any danger.

...And its claws are as big as cups, and for some reason it's got a tremendous fear of stamps! And Mrs Doyle was telling me it's got magnets on its tail, so if you're made out of metal it can attach itself to you! And instead of a mouth it's got four arses!
