Black hole's gravity is so strong that even light cannot escape from it.
[:)] What if we keep on pointing lights at it or filling it up with objects, can it be seen eventually?

Nice question - although a "black hole" would seem to increase mass without limit and so prevent "even light" - it circles the event horizon I guess. But is there a limit like a new baby universe?

There is no evidence to suggest that there is any reason for a black hole to be limited in size.

There is nothing in GR that states there is an upper limit and so far there has been nothing in research to suggest that GR is wrong in this respect. I think that is what SoulSurfer is referring to.

Admittedly, we don't know what physics applies inside the BH. We do know that QM goes a bit awry and that a more comprehensive theory of gravity is required to understand them better.

Huh?  No evidence was mentioned.
...And its claws are as big as cups, and for some reason it's got a tremendous fear of stamps! And Mrs Doyle was telling me it's got magnets on its tail, so if you're made out of metal it can attach itself to you! And instead of a mouth it's got four arses!

Nothing can escape a black hole because information can neverleave its surface.  The reason for this lack of transmission is because of the gravity, but I thing it is also because the time on the surface of a black hole is nearly stopped.  A good book to read on this would probably be The Universe in a Nutshell, by Stephen Hawkins.
