 [;D]

My grandson was born at 1am this morning.

Mother and baby are doing fine but the baby is in an incubator as he was 6 weeks premature. So far he has no name as being early they still had not decided on one.  [:)]

I can now relax a bit and just hope that all goes well for him over the next few weeks. I shall be visiting later tonight and may see him and hopefully take a photo.

Congrats, Bee.

Should that now be OldBeedy?

Coming that early you should call him Sir Prize!

He weighed in at 5lb 2oz and I think he may be named Lewis.

He will be in the incubator and hospital for a while yet but.. tonight I'm an happy, emotional OldBeedy grandpappy.

Paul, "OldBeedy" sounds like a good name for a real ale.  [;D]

Hi, i'm back..... [;D]

The grandson has done so well and put on enough weight, now 5lb 6.5oz, that he is out of hospital 3 weeks early and at home with his mum.

The first photo was him at 14 hours, this one is him at 14 days.

It gives me a bit more time now as I dont have to visit the hospital anymore and it makes visiting easy especially as they live next door to me!

In case Andrew Fletcher is reading:

I was surprised to see that the babies incubators and cots have mattresses that are inclined by around 10-15% at an estimate, about a 4" rise at the head end. [8D]

Anyway, thats all the baby stuff done with so I can now set too and be my usual annoying self.  [;D]

Have you had him in a grow bag instead of a baby grow?

To be honest I think that's down to mum and maybe breast feeding. Although, the nurses and staff of the new Jessops Hospital for women in Sheffield were fantastic. A state of the art modern Hospital and happy staff. [:)]

He looks so tiny and fragile, I had forgotten how hardy they can be and watching him sleep is a joy. Pulling faces and smiling, tasting the air and also lots of rem going on. I'm teaching him already, took him in his pram with me and his ma  to..er, the DWP while I signed on the dole. hehe [;D]

Be warned though, took over 200 photos in 3 weeks so I may post more.

Go ahead and post your photos of your grandson as many as you wish. That is only my opinion though.
