Give a man a fire and he is warm for a day, set a man on fire and he is warm for the rest of his life.

Snails have mucous glands that produce their slime to keep their bodies from losing water and to aid in movement.

Suppose...for instance, there was a person you did not like...ermmm...well i would not reccomend popping a snail on their windscreen and letting it roam around all night, it would be nigh on impossible for them to remove the slime and just may give them a rather bad day.

Obviously we would not do things like that, even to people we don't like...

it looks like the mucous gland exits through the genital pore. Interesting, I thought they had secretion gland along the underside of their bodies, but it looks like one exit point.. I guess that's why the snail lifts it's 'head' section up caterpillar style, when it moves.

Anyone know the best way to get rid of the slime? After it dries it sticks like nothing else known to man.. and getting it up off the floor takes ages.

They have dull sex organs!

They have more genitalia than you or I, unless you are a hermaphrodite.

Hmmm could be fun, lets face it you are hardly likely to say to yourself "I've got a headache". Unless, of course, you have got a headache, in which case, you wouldn't want to do anything yourself anyway.

I think I need to mull that one over myself!!!

Actually, they have mucous glands all over their body, much like our sweat glands. The picture just doesn't show that very well.
