Why "do not wash" before cooking?
« on: 11/02/2011 22:30:03 »
Simon Waters  asked the Naked Scientists:

The label says "Do not wash" before cooking.

Any idea what the science (if any) is for that one?

Simon

What do you think?

What are you cooking?
Does it have seasonings added?
Are you cooking it in oil?
What form do you receive it in?  Canned?

Could they be mushrooms ewe are cooking !

Mushrooms are best just wiped rather than washed before cooking because they can go mushy if washed !...
