Well, well, well a cyclist beats a F1 driver, how can that be? I was so chuffed that Chris Hoy won the sports personality of the year. I'm glad British cycling finally got the recognition it deserves.

Sharon I totally agree with you and all along I wanted Chris Hoy
to win. I am so pleased that he did. what a modest guy too.
Rosalind Franklin was my first cousin and one my life's main regrets is that I never met this brilliant and beautiful lady.
She discovered the Single DNA Helix in 1953, then it was taken by Wilkins without her knowledge or agreeement.

And I suppose that the tight cycling shorts have nothing to do with it?
...And its claws are as big as cups, and for some reason it's got a tremendous fear of stamps! And Mrs Doyle was telling me it's got magnets on its tail, so if you're made out of metal it can attach itself to you! And instead of a mouth it's got four arses!

It comes as no surprise to me. I've heard many phone-in radio programs about this, and unnoficial text polls, and without exception Chris Hoy was the candidate of choice.

I love cyclists. I'm married to one. I also admire them as atheletes. The tour de France guys can keep going forever.

Typically, the non-sporting of us had to wait for Wallender to start whilst the winner feigned siurprise and made an incoherent acceptance speech.
