Can you suggest some examples of pseudoscience?
« on: 13/01/2009 18:27:29 »
I have to write a paper for my physical science class on pseudoscience and I was hoping that I could get help finding a great example of pseudoscience being exploited in today's society.

Being exploited?  Hmm... I think there are a great many, largely in the alternative health industry, but Astrology is always a popular one.

I don't know about being exploited; but I can point you to some examples that most physicists would call pseudoscience. Like This One

Creation science and intelligent design as opposed to the reality of evolution is probably a topical one
Learn, create, test and tell
evolution rules in all things
God says so!

Goggle and see. (as it is a science class)
Or 'race biology'

It is probably a bit late but a great site for finding out about one type of pseudo science (based on health mostly) is Ben Goldacre's blog. http://www.badscience.net
