In case some people missed it, I recommend "The Secret Life of Elephants" on the BBC. I guess you can get it on the i-player for the next 5 or 6 days but it is the best bit of TV I've seen for ages. I'm not really into wildlife programmes but boy is this one good.

Only at ultra low frequencies. Shazza was delusional.

The Times review says "If you donít want to take a sleeping pill, the BBC has a solution for all stressed-out nightbirds: elephants."

Ok, don't blame me!

Does anyone know how to get things from the i-player when you're not in the UK?

But if you access it through the internet, you don't need to enter your licence number, do you? When I access the i-player, I think that it recognises that my IP address is not within the UK, and then stops me from streaming.....or whatever it does.

(This is MIL's son speaking, the techie in the family).

There are two ways of doing it. Probably the easiest is finding another website that hosts them, albeit illegally. I know that at least one exists, and I'll try to ask around for you, and I'll send you a link if I find it.

The other way is more complicated. If you have a friend living within the UK who is reasonably technically savvy, ask them to set up Remote Desktop or VNC or something like that. Then, ask them to give you instructions to connect to their PC. This will basically allow you to, when it is switched on, use their PC as if it was your own, so you will have their British IP address, etc.

Give a man a fire and he is warm for a day, set a man on fire and he is warm for the rest of his life.

Murray is in bed but I found this. It has lots of info on i-player around the world if the above doesn't work for you.
