Why Can't water Be Squeezed ?
« on: 17/03/2009 17:25:45 »
Dear Tactile Compressors,

As a sheepy I just luff to be squeezed, especially after a rain storm when I become quite waterlogged !

But unlike me, Water can not be squeezed/compressed very much !  why's that then ?

look here's some.

Nice eh ?..water is my all time favourite thing made from Hydrogen and Oxygen that falls from clouds and flushes my loo !

But why can I not compress water very much ?..and what about other liquids ?..milk ?..beer ?..orange juice ?...and others ?..can they all not be compressed ?....Is there a liquid that does compress ?..what about oil ?

Ewe see...I totally and really just do not know !..I should know shouldn't I ?..will ewe help me know this thing that I do not know ?

Thanks ewe

Because water, being a liquid, is a in condensed state so molecules are very near each other, without (almost) any space between them and molecules are extremely difficult to compress (they are "hard").

Ethyl alcohol is more compressible than water, while glicerine is less, and mercury even less:
