If that Merc reverses a little and someone else parks close enough on the other side, the silly Smart driver wont feel so smart when they can't open the doors to get back in.

Not enough room for anyone to park the other side (except another Smart parked the same way). There's a rubbish skip in the road. You can just see the corner of it in the photo.

Perhaps in the hours before the photo was taken there were no parking spaces, and this was the only way the driver could park...
