Frantic! It was my last day at work before the summer holidays and I had to get my end of year report in to my funders (DFID.) They wanted blood in 6 sides of A4. God Knows how you are supposed to do it. I ended up putting lots of annexes on so that I didn't have to count them as part of the report. Then my computer had a nervous breakdown just as I was printing it out. It is now posted and I am drinking lots of wine and trying to fend off half the children in the village who seem to think our house is a doss house.

The last few days have been hectic.  Working from home and having kids in school, I'm used to having several hours of alone time.  Both kids are on summer break and are home this week and have been right under me for days.  I haven't been able to concentrate or get any work done.  I finally have them both out of the house and am alone....and still can't concentrate.  Nicholas, my youngest, got his drivers license today and is now legal to drive by himself.  He's been out driving around all day and I'm a nervous wreck.  Having a hard time coping with it....not sure if its because he's a terrible driver or because he's my baby and I'm having a hard time letting go... Maybe both..lol..

Well went to my gym appointment talked with my trainer ended up doing the stepper for 15 minutes and some shoulder therapy with Christie... she worked my Shoulder  over and found trouble in the deltoid muscle and some tricep trouble as well as a few
I cannot name...but my arm was screaming for awhile....Dude she is gentle but man it really hurt!

Now home icing it and heating it. no lifting etc. and the doctor said to go at it slowly...so slow it is!

Over all though it has been a good day!

Had a massage today and went to my favorite coffee shops. Just made Eaton Mess but found out my raspberries were off so had to put Rhubarb in instead. Still Yummy. Off to see Harry Potter now.

Sounds like a lovely life. The Potter is rubbish, apparently.

Your welcome Herman!

My day started at about 4:00 AM this morning and I struggled trying to get my connection to stay up online.
Then I posted and worked on repairing a quilt for my Daughter. She sat here with me and I taught her how to do a blanket stitch with a couple other types of locking stitches so she could help make repairs. The two of us did this for about an hour and a half and the Quilt is finished and back home on her bed!

Now it is 8:15 AM.. and have a huge list of things to get ready for my sisters visit including a place for her to sleep!

It was very funny. I think the film makers must have tied J.K.Rowling up and put her in the room of requirements. This was the first of the potter films that seemed to have been written by a proper screen writer without Rowling putting her oar in and making it dull and long winded. It was punchy, full of jokes (especially about Dumble Door being gay!) Snape did an excellent dramatic pause that made me and Murray laugh throughout the rest of the film including the sad bits. Well worth a trip to the cinema. I loved the cave scene, very frightening.

It's rather odd that the 'children' are now adults, isn't it?

Sadly it always happens. When I was teaching at secondary school I used to marvel at how the boys would go off for the summer holiday in year eight and come back as men for year nine. My boys are both turning into men.....ah father time!

I Started the day with a cappuccino,,Then had a 9:45 appointment for a pedicure and a manicure! That turned into 4 hours sitting in a chair with a wonderful foot massage and quiet music and soothing foot bath more massage and lotion and nail art! YAYYYYYYY!  It was really nice.. Then had the same for my hands!
Then My daughter picked me up mumbled about the elapsed time I spent on my self and we drove home.. I got home and my sister ordered me back to bed because my feet were swollen for sitting for 4 hours in an upright position with little movement.. So at about 2:00 I HAD A BOWL OF SOUP FOR LUNCH AND WENT TO SLEEP..BUT SOMETHING HAPPENED AND MY REST TIME TURNED TO 6 BLOODY HOURS OF UNCONSCIOUSNESS, I WAS AWOKEN BY  THE SOUNDS OF LAUGHING IN THE HOUSE.. TWO OF MY SISTERS MY DAUGHTER AND MY SON AND MY SISTERS SISTER IN LAW WERE IN THE KITCHEN WITH MUSIC ON THEY WERE ALL DRINKING BEER AND MAKING CHINESE DINNER, MY daughter MADE AROUND 100 EGG ROLLS MY SISTER MADE WON TONS AND WON TON SOUP MY SON MADE A NOODLE VEGETABLE DISH AND A SECHWAN (SPELLING) SPICY PEPPERED BEEF DISH THAT WAS KILLER! TONS OF SAUCES, RICE...ETC... WE HAVE ENOUGH CHINESE FOOD HERE THAT IT WILL FEED ALL OF YOU IN THE FORUM!!!

THREE REFRIGERATORS FULL OF FOOD... LOL, I WONDER WHO THE HECK THEY INVITED CAUSE I ATE TWO EGG ROLLS A SMALL SPOON RICE AND 1 SMALL SERVING OF THE BEEF AND TWO WON TONS IN A BROTH,, LOL THERE IS TONS LEFT...

Everyone left  My sister crashed to sleep my son sacked out and I did dishes until 11:00 pm to get all the bloody dishes done!

All and all The day was good and it was nice to hear them all working side by side to prepare the meal! While waking up,,it was nice to hear them telling my kids stories about when we were small and the mischief we all got into as kids, They were laughing and listening to my little sister and older sister spin yarns and tell them family recipe secrets from way back!

I hope for my part That they realize that they can and will carry on after me, and that my sisters will be there for my kids when I cannot,, cause they are still so young and I am so worried about leaving them without their Mom...... After today I think they will be alright. I think I can relax a bit,
