Role models and hierarchies goes so well together, don't they?

And while the rich world resurrect the 'banana countries' eco-diversity and bio diversity is lost, as gone, forever. And so is the top soil, and water.

And then you put floods and droughts created through global warming upon that. Our remedies there are artificial fertilizers and groundwater. To keep those mono plantations viable. With mass production and international trade it naturally follows that only certain types of seeds, fruits, etc fits it. So the variety that earth used to have is lost that way too.

But you don't know sh* about that. Your ancestors would know, if you could resurrect them instead.

Yeah, writing about it gets me so extremely frustrated. You become cockroaches, unable to do anything constructive.

You need to break out of this pattern. And the only way you can do it is by reevaluating your beliefs and ideals. You need to know yourself, and from that make a change.

If you fail in this we will be gone. Those 'black swans' always come from somewhere. They are not put here by 'chance'.

And it doesn't matter how 'green' you state yourself to be, or how 'working class' you define yourself to be, if you can't change.

And for those on the other side of the political spectrum, that now nods and mumble 'hear hear' :)
Well, you're even worse, aren't you.

    Put a price on carbon

Phase out fossil fuel finance and end fossil fuel subsidies

Shift the tax burden from income to carbon, and from tax payers to polluters

Integrate the goal of carbon neutrality (a similar concept to net zero) into all economic and fiscal policies and decisions

Help those around the world who are already facing the dire impacts of climate change
=

Well, yes. But you won't do it.
Our game won't allow it.

It breaks it. If he is serious, and he should know better as he worked inside the UN.

That's the problem. And it won't change until  'the writing is on the wall'  as they say. And by that time you have repressions going. It will look like a 'war' at that time. And it will be a 'war' that humanity lose. But our chances to see it are slim as we already are building up for the next world war. And this time going nuclear.

It all fits together, and it all builds on those different components working with, and on, each other. Less resources, harder competition and 'geopolitics', empathy and compassion shrinking as you start to concentrate on yourself, 'aid' drying up etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.

But, there are no inclinations, no signs, on me being wrong. You better understand that. Whatever you think of what I write the signs all point the same way, and the road doesn't change for you.

If he's serious he's getting almost as desperate as I am :)

And that should tell you something, especially as he comes from the side of the 'established' political spectrum. The one having the most to lose.by a real change.

You should always end on a positive note, that's what I use to say, right? The BBC at times helps me immensely with that.

" The nation learning to embrace flooding "

https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20201201-bangladesh-the-devastating-floods-essential-for-life

and we shouldn't forget eating insects, and asking for more.

A lot of the changes we could do inside our industrialized country's would benefit the poor ones. Not only in form of polluting, but by changing priorities. Like dismantling artificial fertilizers and mono plantations. It would hit the corrupt elite worst, but it would also make ordinary people starve. And that is not good, I know that. And that's where sharing comes in, where it must come in if you want this world to stand a chance. And it needs to be distributed at a grass root level if it is expected to work. It needs to come together with planing and creating new types of infra structures. But if you can't even do this at home, what are the chances for it happening somewhere else?

So it won't happen, and you will have all kind of excuses going. As global warming and the rest takes its toll on our 'banana republics' the international trade will shrink and you will look to what you have at home. As your resources and wealth now is shrinking you won't have the possibility of 'aiding' any more. At least that is what you will tell yourself. And Festung Europe and Festung USA will raise their walls to the rest of the world. Once this trend goes to its end we either have had a world war or we won't find the time for it. And global warming will then have passed those 'tipping points' I'm discussing otherwise.

It doesn't matter, any way you look at it your wallet will shrink. In that I don't expect you to have a choice. So the question becomes why you are here? To kill yourself´? And take the rest of the world with you as you do it?
