Mostly meaningless as far as I see it. As sort of 'if wishes could come true' story about the beauty of our oceans and in this case, whales. Everything dying in our ocean sinks, not only whales. Otherwise you would see a mass of rotting fish etc, floating on the surface. The BBC do not want you to do something, climate is a passing trend in their eyes.

The story stopped there, but in truth those kids already are worried, even without formulating it, about the state of our world. Well, that's a British study. In USA you define from 'pauper to millionaire' hailing it as a truth about life. Believing that if you only try hard enough you too will be one. A sort of 'class less' society based on impossibilities. Reinventing a billionaire into a workers man. I call them beliefs and ideals.
