Can a snail or slug smell things?

Can a snail or slug smell things?

Well do they have a olfactory or what?

I have just never noticed their nose.. but I do know that People put beer in a pie pan and they will come to it and they drink or drown in it or gt dehydrated I am not sure but is it scent that draws them in or what?

Snails detect smell with their smaller set of tentacles ...
