Is There Any Clear Glass That Blocks UV Light ?
« on: 24/11/2009 22:32:38 »
Dearest All,

As a sheepie I of course suffer from sunburn. Yep, sunburn is not good for me or ewe. I'm  sun factor 500+ user !

I have a problem though...sun cream makes my wool all sticky and gooey ! that's fine when I double up as a rolling-sheepie-leaf-collector but those days are way behind me...

See my new pad !...kewl eh ?....see me there welcoming ewe to my new pad ?

Me Welcoming Ewe to My New Pad

Thing is, it's made of glass and I want to know if there is glass out there (that is clear-not tinted) that will allow nice light in but leave bad light out ?

I hope so, cos I don't want to turn my new pad into a greenhouse.

Is there a way to block UV radiation from going through a completely clear glass building ?

whajafink ?

hugs & shmishes

mwah mwah mnwah !!

It's Now Very Clear To Me
That I Now Have No Privacy !.........DOH !!
Men are the same as women, just inside out !

Regular glass does attenuate UV, hence the taxi-driver/trucker tan ...

A "trucker's tan" is ... where one arm from the sleeve downward is tanned significantly more than the other arm due to driving with the windows down. While named a "trucker's tan," such a tan line is not exclusive to truck drivers and can be attained by driving most motor vehicles

Ordinary window glass passes about 90% of the light above 350 nm, but blocks over 90% of the light below 300 nm
