Can I reproduce a lucid dream?
« on: 07/12/2009 09:30:04 »
Jamie Timmons  asked the Naked Scientists:

Listening to your podcasts from way out here in the bush! I'm based on a remote iron ore mine site 150km north of the town of Newman in Western Australia.

I had a lucid dreaming experience this morning & it was pretty fascinating.   Can I reproduce the event?

What do you think?

You can try.

When you're laying in bed, imagine the scenario again in your head, and it may continue in your dreams during your REM phase.

Violets are blue.
Most poems rhyme,
but this one doesn't

from my personal Experience yes you can but it is more fragie the second time.. trying to stay on the same plot line.. so to speak.. but yes I have been able to do that by really thinking about the whole dream from the smallest details start to end and I usually repeat it in my head until I have drifted back into sleep.. it is hard but doable and very nice when you can do it.. I must say that I cannot duplicate everyone though I have tried in an attempt to fall asleep a second time...
