My cat Marmalade has Feline Hyperthroidism !!, Can you help please?
« on: 04/02/2010 18:21:58 »
My female cat Marmalade is almost 11 years old and she has a condition called
Feline Hyperthyroidism which made/makes her over-eat and lose weight also
drank/drinks too much.

But since last October 2009 when I found about her thyroids being affected
she's been taking (eating) Vidalta 10mg x 1 daily (sort of).

She's also got possible kidney damage due to the meds but what
I don't understand is her condition or enough about Feline Hyperthyroidsim although
I ask loads of questions to the vet and I get rebuffed.

Thanks

Rosalind Franklin was my first cousin and one my life's main regrets is that I never met this brilliant and beautiful lady.
She discovered the Single DNA Helix in 1953, then it was taken by Wilkins without her knowledge or agreeement.

Thanks Discover Dave for your links but they are mainly to do with
American Veterinary clinics, I live in London, UK.

This is one of the links I found, not as good as yours.
The vet is a nuisance not answering my many questions and I pay enough
for Marmalade's treatment. It frustrates me.
