Why do I ' stand to attention ' in the mornings ?
« on: 15/11/2005 13:56:42 »
Errhhmm...cough splutter, blushing !

I reckon I may have asked this before but after searching I couldnt find it, so maybe it was in a  dream but......

Why do us blokes wake up with a stiffy ?...you know..a morning glory !!.....

Do girlies wake up with something similar in their  'joy department ' ?...well, obviously not an erection but anything ?

Thank you for your kind cooperation in this matter .

The way boners work is that blood fills the capillaries in your dick.  When you deeply relax, blood flows to the center of your body, and you pop wood.  When you wake up, it may be that you were relaxing recently, because you were sleeping, and therefore have a hardon.  It usually goes away soon because you stop relaxing.

Men frequently get erections during REM sleep.  When you wake in the morning, you're very often waking from REM sleep and the morning wood is left over from that.  Having a full bladder also applies pressure and keeps the erectile tissue from draining quickly, which is why it seems to hang around so long.

Thanks Moosey, Eth and Jay....you're all right........I always have my most vivid lucid semi conscious dreams just before awaking and so th REM sleep is particularly apt....which is nice.

I dream erotic dreams of girls who like to dance, always gives me a hard on, then I realise it's all a fantasy dream, and the feeling goes, anyone know what I mean ?

NOCTURNAL ERECTIONS are actually a form of exercise. When the penis is flaccid,it receives little blood flow, which hinders the oxygenation and removal of waste products from penile cells.
