But then he decided it was okay because he could duck.

When I was a bartender, the duck said to me, 'put it on my bill.'

You're having a good run, you must be on a roll.

I lost my job: deep cuts were made in the guillotine industry and heads rolled.

If you know anyone sharp who needs an expert cutter, I'll slice off some of my cutting edge/state-of-the-art resumes with my razor-edged teeth -- and get them to you ASAP.

At the Calgary zoo I saw a rude little girl making faces at a large male gorilla.  He turned around and pushed his bum into the glass where her face was.  The rude little girl was horrified.  Bummer.

"Baby Beluga" was one of my kids' (as youngsters) favorite songs - joyful images.

In the mid 1980s I was having a lovely conversation with a Beluga at the Vancouver aquarium.  We were both pregnant.  Some noisy tourists with a plethora of cameras came and horned in on our moment.  The beluga ducked under water and bobbed back up, spraying water all over the tourists (but not me).  Soon the Spew-luga and I were alone again.

After giving birth to my son, he was a Raffi fan too, and "Baby Beluga" was a favourite song.  You could say that album was a whale of a success.
