Hi!

First of all, I love your show!

My question is regarding the conductive properties of water.

I know it's not a good plan to chuck my computer into water, but what would happen if I put my laptop into a tub of de-ionized water?

Cheers!

Martin from Sweden

What do you think?

While deionised water has a much lower conductivity than tap water it is still conductive, so I wouldn't usually try this.
On the other hand, if I had just spilled cola on my laptop and I was at work (where there's DI water on tap) I would take the battery out and rinse this thing thoroughly in DI water to get the cola out. Of course I would then have to wait a while for all the water to evaporate before I could use it again.
