We need to sleep so that our tired organs and tissues get some rest and are restored. There is no exact explation about how do we fall asleep ,however it is believed that there is sleep centre in the brain that regulates sleeping and walking of the body.
This sleep centre is regulated by blood(calcium present in blood) throughout our body.
Calcium and sleep centre reacts to block certain nerves that makes us feel asleep.
