So long as the skin is cleaned of any gunk, I see no reason why not, though it would be a little tart. Hmmm, speaking of little tarts..........

It is usual to eat a cumquat whole and that's from the same family.
If brains were made of dynamite, I wouldn't have enough to blow my nose.

As it happens (said in Jimmy Saville fashion), you can spell it either way, it just seemed more apt not to use the Kumquat version on this occasion.
