What's your favorite/favourite celestial object?

It's a good time of year for star gazey stuff. What do you like to look at? I'm talking about real time viewing with your naked eyeballs, or with the aid of a telescope, or binos.

It would be a perfect night here, but some twit decided to set his wheat stubble on fire and fill the air with smoke.

Yes, Jupiter's moons are really cool.

I like to find Andromeda, but I find it really difficult to spot with the naked eye. It's really huge, but it's also really faint. I can only see it with my peripheral vision. Can you see it at all?

With the naked eye, or with binos, M31, but like Geezer says, it's not easy to see unless conditions are really good.  Second place goes to Luna.
...And its claws are as big as cups, and for some reason it's got a tremendous fear of stamps! And Mrs Doyle was telling me it's got magnets on its tail, so if you're made out of metal it can attach itself to you! And instead of a mouth it's got four arses!

Can't say as I took a whole lot of notice of the background.
