What would a decapitated head experience?

Jacek Brzezowski via facebook asked the Naked Scientists:
I read that the brain functions for up to 10 minutes after actual sudden death.

Is it functioning on solely biological level as sending signals and such as muscles twitching or is it that one can actually experience last moments long after one dies?

If so, what could he experience if his head was decapitated?

What do you think?

Because of the instant loss of blood pressure from decapitation consciousness probably only lasts for a few seconds.

Stand by your beds.

The way things are going in France right now (and a good few other places) there could be a re-run of the French Revolution soon.

Perhaps the BBC or CNN will have a reporter standing by the basket to catch the plunder of Madame La Guillotine, for an interview with said bonce. OK, maybe not the BBC or CNN, but The Star or The National Enquirer might be up for it.
If brains were made of dynamite, I wouldn't have enough to blow my nose.
