Deano Drinking From My Cup

Why's That Then ?...Why Does Deano (and his sister cat) Prefer To Drink From A Cup ? There must be a science behind it !..a cat science...a feline science !

Hi

Yes I have 2 cats! and have lived with cats for 50 years (all my life) (note to wildlife lovers - they are indoors only - cat cage outside)

From my observations, cats drink from cups because the water is fresher than their other choices.

This would explain drinking from clean toilet water too.

Cats prefer their water to be fresh - this means to keep them happy, change the water in the dish every day, and keep the dish very clean.

my idea:  Due to the way they lap water, the surface of water becomes turbulent and causing for messy drinking.  Smaller surface area is more controlled drinking. less messy for finicky cats
