Help! this medicine is ic smz/tmp
« on: 04/04/2006 03:27:28 »
I have a friend who is in agony from taking this medicine.  He needs to find out what could happen to him from taking this are his symptoms.  This medicine burns when you pass gas, urinate, feels exhaling sulphur dioxide from his lungs, and it feels like it is etching the enamel off of his teeth.  Is there anything he can do to keep from feeling these symptoms, besides not take it...or is there permanent damage from taking this medicine?

If your friend is taking this antibiotic for a urinary tract infection then the burning sensation on urination may be due to the infection.
