I have a question for The Naked Scientists...

If I train my memory to become really really good,  would any of this improvement be passed on genetically to my descendents?

Categorically not.  The inheritance of acquired traits is known as Lamarckism and has also entirely been discredited. 

There is a slight caveat though - recent research has shown that Epigenetics is very important. This DOES involve the passing on through inheritance acquired traits.  For instance the grandchildren of those who suffered terrible famine when they were young tend to be adjusted to lower levels of food.  But this is rare phenomenon and still not completely understood,
